Kayla Shams

Kayla Shams, born on September 16, 1980, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a DJ passionate about Progressive House, Melodic Techno, and organic electronic sounds. With a solid background in the local music scene, she is part of the PH Bar House staff and has performed at renowned events such as Downtempo Rooftop and Melt Underground. She has shared the booth with prominent artists including Aldo Haydar, Sergio Almada, Tony Smooth (USA), John Creamer (New York), and Fernando Ferreyra (Argentina), further strengthening her presence within the electronic music community. Kayla has also collaborated with acclaimed producer Martín Gardoqui, with whom she studied production techniques. She has released tracks such as her edit of Avicii’s “Feeling Good” and her original track “Duele,” marking the beginning of her journey as a producer. In 2025, she achieved several key milestones, including performing as a warm-up DJ for Fernando Ferreyra in September, hosting Tony Smooth’s first performance in Buenos Aires through her own platform Shams Producciones in October, and sharing a lineup with John Creamer in November. Currently, she continues to refine her skills through coaching sessions with Nicolás Sánchez (Family Group) and as a student at the Pete Tong DJ Academy, further establishing herself as a promising figure in the electronic music scene. In addition, Kayla founded her own production company, Shams Producciones, focused on bringing international artists to Argentina and curating exclusive electronic music events.
